Jarell is passionate about financial literacy and breaking the mold. In his day-to-day work, he is a Senior Finance Manager on the Finance, Analytics & Strategy team at Fidelity Investments. Between knowledge obtained at Fidelity, advanced collegiate degrees and his CPA and CFP® certificant, he is well-versed in all things finance.
But what truly sets Jarell apart is his passion for helping young minorities break into the finance and accounting world and promoting financial literacy across underserved communities. The CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification, which is also referred to as a CFP® certification, is offered by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. (“CFP Board”). To obtain the CFP® certification, candidates must pass the comprehensive CFP® Certification examination, pass the CFP® Board’s fitness standards for candidates and registrants, agree to abide by the CFP Board’s Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility, and have at least three years of qualifying work experience, among other requirements. The CFP Board owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER, CFP® (with plaque design), and CFP® (with flame design) in the U.S.
