In May, Fidelity associates participated in a month of service across our regional sites, investor centers and virtually, making a positive impact in the communities in which we work and live. We hosted volunteer events ranging from environmental clean-ups to packing meals to skills-based volunteering, which help non-profits achieve their goals. Across our sites, 7,340 individual volunteers participated in more than 215 events totaling 10,000+ volunteer hours. Teams packed more than 104,000 meals and 4,200 STEM kits. Youth and financial education events reached 5,300+ students.
An extension of Fidelity’s year-round focus on community, all of Fidelity’s volunteer projects connect back to the company’s purpose: to improve long-term outcomes and strengthen financial futures for all. This can show up as financial education programming, or as projects that address more foundational needs for students like school transformation days or food insecurity programs.
