Fidelity’s Invest in My Education Initiative Now Active in 12 US States

Release Date: 28 Oct 2025
Fidelity s Invest in My EducationSM Initiative Now Active in 12 US States

Fidelity Investments has long supported financial education and empowerment. To extend these efforts to the next generation, Fidelity launched Invest in My Education(ME)℠, a $250 million social impact initiative that provides access to education and ongoing support to students from under-resourced communities. The program takes a holistic approach to driving transformational change by combining student scholarships with wraparound support, including resources to complete degree programs and pathways to post-graduation employment. Today, Fidelity announced new milestones for the initiative:

Nearly 1,200 Students Head to College

Unlike other grant programs that focus on the highest-achieving students from under-resourced communities, Invest in My Education focuses on the “mighty middle” student (those with GPAs of 2.5-3.59). It combines student scholarships with comprehensive ongoing support, including college success coaches, mental health and wellness resources, Fidelity mentors, financial education, and career readiness support.

Nearly 1,200 current student participants are off to college this fall. Sixty-three percent of these students are the first in their families to attend college, and 94% of active program participants report that the program is increasing or maintaining their motivation to earn a degree. By making higher education more accessible and affordable while providing students with wraparound support, like mentorship from 480 Fidelity associate volunteers and other resources, the initiative is helping empower students to achieve greater economic mobility and pursue pathways to generational wealth. This in turn can support better long-term outcomes for students and their communities.

Invest in My Education Expands to 12 States

Invest in My Education is now available to students in New Hampshire and Utah, as well as those in returning states Colorado, Florida, Kentucky, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Massachusetts, Ohio, Rhode Island, Texas, and Washington D.C.* In addition to the student support, the program will also bring to these areas its Ecosystem-Building Grants, which improve pathways for thousands of under-resourced students, and Retention and Completion Grants, which help local higher education institutions keep at-risk students in school. Fidelity is thrilled to continue to invest in the future of these communities. Since its founding, Fidelity’s goal has been to strengthen the financial well-being of customers, and the company believes that access to quality education can be a powerful driver of economic mobility. The Invest in My Education initiative seeks to address system disparities in communities, resulting in upward mobility for more people.
