Release Date: 26 Jun 2025
Fidelity Champions Financial Empowerment with Record Breaking Spring Initiatives

Each spring, Fidelity celebrates its year-round commitment to community through National Financial Literacy Month in April and Fidelity Cares Month—a companywide month of service—in May. Though Fidelity’s efforts persist throughout the entire year, these months bring into focus associates’ dedication to giving back through a variety of activities that connect Fidelity to communities.

Fidelity’s year-round volunteer efforts reflect its core purpose—to strengthen the financial well-being of our customers—and this dedication to improving long-term outcomes extends to the communities that Fidelity has the privilege to serve. From financial education to addressing foundational student needs, like school transformations and food security, each community activation champions and drives forward this mission.

National Financial Literacy Month

In April, 800 associates participated in financial empowerment activities achieving a 50% engagement increase from 2024. Fidelity hosted 60 financial education-focused events, reaching more than 5,100 students. Teams distributed 1,000 financial education “Action Packs” across the U.S. with take-home conversation starters to expand student’s financial empowerment journey beyond the classroom.

What are Fidelity associates and community collaborators saying about the impact they are making together?

“The smiles, their curiosities, the ‘aha’ moments were a true testimony of what impact looks like! It was great to see the excitement and interest from the children.” - Fidelity Associate

“It’s nice that the kids have these opportunities, because they want to grow, and they want to know more. A lot of our kids don’t come from circumstances where their parents know a lot about financial education. They might not get that from their friends or the environment they’re around. They take these opportunities every time they can. They also want a great future.” - Community Collaborator

Fidelity Cares Month

In May, Fidelity associates participated in a record-breaking month of service across regional sites, investor centers and virtually, making a positive impact in the communities Fidelity proudly serves. Fidelity associates hosted a variety of community focused events including student support initiatives, meal distributions, beautification projects, technology refurbishing, and skills-based volunteering programs, which help non-profits achieve their goals.

Across Fidelity sites, 12,000 volunteers participated in 200+ events, contributing nearly 24,000 volunteer hours. Associates came out in droves, with a surge of 5,000 new associate volunteers since 2024. Teams reached 10,400+ students, distributed 4,200+ financial education and student support kits, and packed over 94,900 meals.
